Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Cookies

Introduction

At Ride & Rip, we take our users’ privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide when using our store and services.

Privacy Policy

We may collect the following personal data:

1. Information We Collect

  • Full name.
  • Email address.
  • Shipping and billing address.
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your full card details).
  • Login credentials (email and password, or login via Google account).
  • Site usage information and cookies (Google Analytics and similar tools).

2. How We Collect Data

  • When the user registers on the platform.
  • When logging in via Google or email form.
  • When placing an order.
  • Through cookies and tracking technologies.
  • All data is stored in Firebase Authentication and Firestore (Google Cloud).

3. Use of Information

We use the data to:

  • Manage your account and allow login.
  • Process orders and payments via Stripe.
  • Send verification and order confirmation emails.
  • Send promotional communications and newsletters (only if the user consents).
  • Analyze platform usage (Google Analytics).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Communications

We may send you:

  • Verification emails upon registration.
  • Order confirmations and updates.
  • Promotional communications (if you have given consent).

5. Data Sharing

We share information only with:

  • Stripe (payment processing).
  • Google Firebase / Firestore (authentication and storage).
  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics).

6. Data Retention

  • We will retain your data while your account is active or as needed to comply with legal and contractual obligations.

7. User Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access, rectify, or delete your data.
  • Object to the processing of data for promotional purposes.
  • Request portability of your information.
  • You can exercise these rights by contacting us at: [email protected].
  • 8. Security
  • We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data.

9. Abandoned Cart Reminders

If you provide your email address during checkout and tick the specific consent checkbox, we may send you up to three automated reminders if you do not complete your order. These emails are sent exclusively after your explicit consent.

  • Data processed: email address, cart contents (products, quantities, amounts), session language, and your name if provided.
  • Legal basis: explicit consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), collected through a specific checkbox at checkout, separate from general marketing consent.
  • Retention period: until you complete the purchase, unsubscribe, or 30 days have passed since the last email was sent, whichever occurs first.
  • Processors: Google LLC (Firebase/Firestore for storage) and Google (Gmail SMTP for email delivery).
  • Right to object: you can unsubscribe at any time from the link included in every email or by contacting [email protected]. Unsubscribing affects only these reminders and does not block mandatory transactional emails (order confirmation, invoice).

10. Online Payments and Card Data

When you place an order on our website, your payment is processed directly on this page and not on an external Stripe page. The following information explains how this works and which data is shared with our payment processor.

  • Card payments are processed using Stripe Elements, a set of payment components hosted by Stripe Inc. and embedded as iframes inside our checkout page. The card form is rendered and operated by Stripe.
  • Your card details (number, expiry date and CVV) are captured directly within these Stripe-hosted iframes and transmitted directly to Stripe Inc. They never reach Ride & Rip servers and are not stored by us at any point.
  • Billing details (name, address, email and phone) entered at checkout are shared with Stripe to authorize the transaction, verify card ownership and meet anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering obligations.
  • For Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) under PSD2, you may be temporarily redirected to your bank's 3D Secure verification page to confirm the payment. Once authenticated, you are automatically returned to our site to complete the order.
  • Stripe also automatically collects technical information for fraud prevention through its Radar service: IP address, user agent, browser and device characteristics, and behavioural signals during the payment session.
  • When the payment form loads, Stripe sets technical cookies (`__stripe_mid`, `__stripe_sid` and `m`) on your browser. These cookies are functionally necessary to operate the secure payment form and are detailed in the cookies table of this policy.
  • International transfer: Stripe Inc. is based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) adopted by the European Commission (Decision 2021/914). For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
  • Legal basis: performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and Ride & Rip's legitimate interest in preventing fraud and chargebacks (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Express checkout (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe Link): if you choose to pay with a wallet, payment data is exchanged directly between your device, the wallet provider (Apple Inc., Google LLC) and Stripe. Ride & Rip only receives the transaction confirmation and the billing/shipping data needed to fulfil the order.

Shipping Policy

We ship to multiple countries worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of your order and the destination country.

1. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on:
  • Total weight of the order
  • Destination country
  • Shipping costs are displayed before completing your purchase and are included in the final total.

2. Order Processing

  • Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation.
  • You will receive an email confirmation with your order details and tracking information once your order has been shipped.

3. Customs and Import Duties

  • For international shipments, customs duties, taxes, and import fees may apply depending on your country's regulations.
  • Ride & Rip is not responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or additional charges that may be applied by customs authorities or shipping carriers in your country.
  • The recipient is responsible for paying any customs fees, taxes, or import duties required by their country.
  • If a package is held by customs, Ride & Rip is not responsible for delays, additional fees, or the release of the package.

4. Package Retention at Customs

  • If your package is retained or held by customs authorities in your country, Ride & Rip is not responsible for:
  • Delays in delivery due to customs processing
  • Additional fees or charges imposed by customs or shipping carriers
  • The release of the package from customs
  • Any consequences resulting from customs retention
  • It is the customer's responsibility to contact their local customs office and shipping carrier to resolve any issues related to customs clearance.

5. Additional Charges by Shipping Carriers

  • Ride & Rip is not responsible for any additional charges that may be applied by shipping carriers due to:
  • Customs duties and tariffs in your country
  • Handling fees imposed by customs or shipping carriers
  • Storage fees if the package is held at customs or carrier facilities
  • Any other fees related to import regulations in your country
  • All such charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

6. Tracking and Delivery

  • Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.
  • You can use this tracking number to monitor your package's progress on the carrier's website.
  • If you do not receive your package, please contact us at [email protected] with your order number.

7. Lost or Damaged Packages

  • If your package is lost or damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
  • We will investigate the issue and work with the shipping carrier to resolve the matter.
  • Claims for lost or damaged packages must be filed within 30 days of shipment.

8. Address Accuracy

  • It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate and complete shipping information.
  • Ride & Rip is not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error.
  • If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, additional shipping fees may apply to reship the order.

9. Returns and Refunds

  • For information about returns and refunds related to shipping, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

10. International Customs, Duties & Taxes

  • All international shipments are sent under Incoterm DAP (Delivered At Place). This means we ship the goods to the destination country, but any import duties, taxes (such as VAT, GST or sales tax) and customs brokerage fees imposed by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient and must be paid before delivery.
  • United States: shipments below USD $800 in declared value generally qualify for the federal de minimis exemption and do not incur import duties. UPS may still charge a brokerage or disbursement fee at delivery, which is paid by the recipient.
  • United Kingdom: orders valued at £135 or less may be subject to UK VAT collected at checkout where required. Orders above £135 are processed at the UK border and the recipient pays VAT and any applicable duties directly to the carrier.
  • Other destinations: thresholds, duty rates and tax rules vary by country. We declare each item with its tariff (HS) code, origin and value on the commercial invoice attached to the package. If you have questions about the cost of importing to your country, please check with your local customs authority before ordering.
  • Refusing a package or failing to pay customs charges does not entitle the recipient to a refund of the original shipping costs and any return shipping fees will be deducted from the refund. We cannot under-declare value or mark commercial shipments as gifts, as this would constitute customs fraud.

Returns & Warranty

Every Ride & Rip piece is shipped brand new in its original packaging. We honor in full the consumer rights granted by EU and Spanish law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 and Directive 2011/83/EU) and ask, in turn, that any returned item reaches us in the exact condition we shipped it. The procedure below states precisely when, how and under which conditions a return or warranty claim is accepted.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send a clear written statement to [email protected] stating your order number, the items concerned and, ideally, the reason. You may use the model form available in section 11, but it is not mandatory.

Mandatory conditions for the return to be accepted:

  • The product must be unworn and unused, with no signs of wear, fitting beyond brief verification, or modification.
  • All original tags, labels and seals must remain attached and intact — cutting or removing a tag invalidates the return.
  • Original packaging, polybags and protective accessories must be returned undamaged.
  • Free of any odor (perfume, deodorant, sweat, tobacco, smoke, food, pets, household scent).
  • Free of any sign of washing, ironing, dry-cleaning or chemical treatment.
  • Free of any stain, hair, fluid, make-up or visible dirt.
  • No alterations whatsoever (no cuts, hems, patches, embroidery, additional prints or third-party repairs).

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, except where the law requires otherwise (e.g. a confirmed defect attributable to us). We strongly recommend a tracked and insured carrier: we are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit during a return.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt and approval of the returned goods. We may lawfully withhold the refund until we have inspected the items or until we have received proof that you have sent them back, whichever comes first.

If a returned item arrives without meeting the above conditions, we reserve the right to (a) refuse the refund and ship the item back to you at your expense, or (b) apply a proportional depreciation deduction reflecting the loss of value, in either case documented with photographs of the condition received.

2. Items Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply to:

  • Custom-made or personalized products (e.g. names, initials, made-to-order prints).
  • Hygiene-sensitive items once unsealed: underwear, socks, balaclavas, neck gaiters and any garment in direct contact with skin or mucous membranes.
  • Protective gear (helmets, body armor, certified gloves) once removed from its sealed safety packaging or showing any sign of use, fitting beyond a brief try-on, or impact — for evident safety reasons.
  • Products explicitly labeled as "final sale", "last unit" or "outlet" at the time of purchase, when this exclusion is clearly stated on the product page.
  • Sealed digital content, gift cards once redeemed, or any product whose nature makes return unfeasible.

3. Statutory Warranty for Defects (3 Years)

All products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity for three (3) years from delivery, under Article 120 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 and Directive (EU) 2019/771. This warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects that become apparent under normal use, consistent with the product description and care instructions.

You must inform us of any lack of conformity within a reasonable period after detecting it. We recommend doing so within 14 days of discovery to facilitate the technical assessment.

How to file a warranty claim:

  • Step 1 — Email [email protected] with the subject "Warranty claim — Order #XXXX".
  • Step 2 — Attach: order number, sharp photographs and a short video of the defect, written description, date the defect appeared, and an explanation of how the product had been used and cared for up to that point.
  • Step 3 — We acknowledge your claim within 2 business days and send you return instructions and the address.
  • Step 4 — Send the product back in the same condition in which the defect appeared. Do not wash, modify or attempt to repair it — doing so voids the claim.
  • Step 5 — Our team inspects the item within 14 days of receipt and confirms whether the defect qualifies as a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty.

If the defect is confirmed, you are entitled to repair, replacement, a proportional price reduction or a full refund, as provided by law. Return shipping of a confirmed defective item is borne by us. We will inform you in writing of our decision and the reasoning.

4. Inspection, Burden of Proof and Anti-Fraud Safeguards

Every defect-based return requires physical inspection at our facility. We acknowledge that, during the first two years from delivery, the law presumes that any lack of conformity manifested already existed at the time of delivery; after that period the burden of proof shifts to the consumer.

To enable a fair technical assessment, the customer is asked to provide reasonable evidence — normally the photo/video material requested above and, where available, photographs taken on receipt of the order. Where there is reasonable doubt, we reserve the right to commission an independent technical report at our expense, whose conclusion will be binding on both parties.

A claim will be rejected, with a written explanation and supporting photographs, when the inspection shows that the issue results from a cause excluded from the warranty (see next section), or when the item has been returned in a state that prevents proper assessment (e.g. washed, repaired, modified or already used after the defect was noticed).

5. Exclusions from the Warranty

The following situations are NOT covered by the statutory warranty, as they do not constitute a lack of conformity attributable to the manufacturer:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use (progressive fading, mild abrasion, softening of the fabric, gradual loosening of elastics).
  • Damage caused by misuse or accident, including motorcycle falls, road-surface scrapes, cuts, snags, contact with hot exhausts, sharp edges or fuel/oil spills.
  • Damage caused by failure to follow the care label: incorrect washing temperature, tumble-drying when prohibited, bleach, harsh detergents, ironing over prints, or dry-cleaning when not allowed.
  • Damage caused by alterations, repairs or modifications carried out by the customer or by third parties not authorized by us.
  • Damage caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, humidity, salt water, chlorine, perfumes, deodorants, chemicals or persistent heavy sweating.
  • Tears or seam ruptures caused by overload (forced stretching, excessive weight in pockets, hanging objects from parts not designed to bear load).
  • Minor variations in color, weave, fit, print placement or texture that are inherent to limited-run streetwear and fall within accepted manufacturing tolerances.
  • Loose threads or small cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the structural integrity or wearability of the garment.
  • Loss, theft or damage of the product while in the customer's custody after delivery.
  • Items washed, repaired, modified or used after the defect was noticed but before reporting it to us.

6. Refunds

Refunds are issued exclusively to the original payment method through Stripe.

Once the return is received and approved, the refund is processed within a maximum of 14 days. Banking and card-network processing times may add up to 7 additional business days before the funds appear on your statement.

The original outbound shipping cost is non-refundable, except where the return results from a confirmed defect or an error attributable to us, in which case both the outbound and return shipping costs are reimbursed.

7. Exchanges

We do not operate a direct exchange service. To swap an item for a different size, color or model, please initiate a standard return for the original item and place a new order for the desired one. This safeguards your stock reservation and avoids errors.

8. Order Modifications and Cancellations

You may request the cancellation or modification of your order while it has not yet entered preparation. Email [email protected] as soon as possible with the order number — once the order has been packed or handed to the carrier, the standard return procedure applies.

9. Lost, Damaged or Wrong Items on Delivery

If your order arrives incomplete, contains the wrong item, or shows visible transport damage, contact [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery and attach photographs of the parcel (exterior and interior) and of the items concerned. This time frame is required to file a claim with the carrier.

Once validated, we will arrange replacement, completion of the order or a full refund, with shipping costs at our charge.

10. Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution (EU ODR)

Pursuant to Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 524/2013, the European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

For any consumer-related complaint you may also write to [email protected]. We commit to a substantive reply within a maximum of 30 days.

These conditions are governed by Spanish law. The competent courts are those of the consumer's domicile within the European Union; outside the EU, the courts of Madrid, Spain.

11. Model Withdrawal Form

You may — but are not obliged to — copy the text below and send it to [email protected] to exercise your right of withdrawal:

To: Ride & Rip — [email protected]. I/We hereby give notice that I/we withdraw from my/our contract of sale of the following goods: [products]. Ordered on: [date]. Order number: [number]. Name of consumer(s): [name]. Address of consumer(s): [address]. Date: [date]. Signature (only required if this form is notified on paper).

Pre-Orders

Some products in our store are sold as pre-orders. By placing a pre-order you accept that the item is not yet in stock and will be produced or restocked before being shipped.

Each pre-order product shows an estimated shipping window (e.g. "2–3 weeks") on its product page. This range is an estimate, not a guarantee: production lead times may vary depending on suppliers, custom designs and shipping conditions.

Charges for pre-orders are processed at checkout, the same as any other order, so we can secure materials and start production. If we anticipate a substantial delay beyond the indicated estimate, we will contact you and offer either to wait or to receive a full refund.

The final pre-order product may show small visual differences (stitching, colour calibration, finish) versus the catalogue images, due to ongoing improvements aimed at giving you a better product. By accepting the pre-order terms at checkout you acknowledge and agree to these conditions.

Statutory consumer rights — including the right of withdrawal described in the Returns & Warranty section — apply to pre-order purchases on the same terms as in-stock items.
